Meet Jamie!

Jamie has been a birthworker for a decade. Her journey into birthwork began with the transformative experience of her own homebirth in 2013, which ignited a deep desire to help other women experience the same sense of empowerment and support. In 2014, Jamie became a certified doula, as well as a certified placenta encapsulator in 2017, and since then, she has worked to support families through their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys.

Her commitment to holistic, family-centered care and the dire need for more midwives in New Jersey led her to pursue formal midwifery training. She attended Midwives College of Utah, learning the art of midwifery through the apprenticeship model with various skilled midwives in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She supplemented her formal education with many hands-on skills training sessions throughout her time as a student, including training with Breech Without Borders, Birth Emergency Skills Training, and other programs that aided her in becoming a well-rounded midwife.

Jamie strongly believes in the normal physiological process of pregnancy and birth, and she focuses on client education, and the shared-decision decision-making process so families feel empowered through their care. By integrating nutritional counseling, holistic practices, and herbal remedies into her care model, she supports women in maintaining optimal health throughout the childbearing years.
