Alena Fontaine, Primary Midwife Under Supervision
Meet Alena!
Hello hello,
My name is Alena Fontaine, I’m a proud momma bear of 5, living in New Jersey and will be completing my studies at the Midwives College of Utah this August.
Over the past two years, I’ve traveled between New York and Philadelphia for my clinical training and now have the honor of working alongside four inspiring midwives as I complete my final hours. My path into midwifery was deeply rooted in my heart long before I stepped into the birth room. I spent over a decade in education, nurturing growth in the classroom, before answering the powerful call to birth work.
Being a student midwife has been nothing short of transformational. Each birth I attend is a sacred reminder of the strength and beauty of families in transition. Supporting people as they welcome new life into the world is my guiding light, it humbles me, grounds me, and fills me with purpose.
Outside of birth work, I find deep joy in nature and the healing that comes from simply being outdoors. That connection to the earth mirrors the connection I strive to bring into my care: rooted, intuitive, and honoring the whole journey.
As I prepare to enter the birth world as a licensed midwife, I carry with me the wisdom of my teachers, the love of my children, and the deep gratitude of being invited into such an intimate part of life. It is beautiful. It is powerful. I give thanks.
